New 8 story apartment building on campus by 2011

A high-rise student apartment building is coming to one of the most congested spots on the UW-Madison campus — with no new parking spaces.
Monday night, the Madison Plan Commission on a 5-2 vote approved a proposal from landlord Patrick Corcoran for an eight-story apartment tower at 621 Mendota Court.

City of Madison to boost parking violation fines!

Starting next month, the city is planning on increasing the fine on most of it’s parking citations by $5. They expect this to increase revenue by $200,000.

35 degrees and no snow in the forecast!

We are in for a nice warming trend for the next few days. Hopefully some of this snow will melt away.
